Necromorphs

       

Necromorphs are undead humans that are influenced by the marker. The term Necro means undead while morphs are the transformation of these creatures. These creatures are made by the corpses of the Ishimura crew as they lose there sanity and transform into these beings.

Types of Necromorphs

        These necromorphs have different strategic plans of killing an individual. The slasher using its claws to capture the target, the leaper lunging towards the individual, the lurker spitting acid, exploder exploding with the individual included, brute being slow at first but throws boulders, hunters being dangerous as they have regenerative abilities and can run and dividers multiplying into more necromorphs if one individual decides to kill it. When an individual is influenced by the marker dies, they transform into necromorphs  as their bodies transform, their bones reshaping into dangerous weapons and attacking anyone else to spread the outbreak. They differ from zombies by strength, mobility, more aggressive and  are heavily mutated. They have some sort of intelligence as they can crawl into vents, climb walls, attack in darkness and find vulnerable spots of targets. As I know, these mutated corpses are very aggressive as they are influenced by the marker.

                  Some necromorphs like the slasher, leaper, lurker, exploder and divider have weaknesses except for the brute or hunter. These necromorphs can be dismembered except for the head which is ineffective due to the infection spreading throughout the body. The way to kill these necromorphs is to dismember the legs, arms or the weapons they get after the transformation on the body.Common Features of these necromorphs are shoulders being blades, disorted human bodies and aggressive attacks.At some parts of the game, There are bosses such as the leviathan, Hive mind and Guardian. At the end of the game, the infection continues to spread as no one has stopped it.
